Twice a year, the whole company gathers in person for a week. We use the time for planning, hands-on work together, and the kind of unstructured time that doesn't happen on a video call.
Between offsites, every team has a weekly sync, every department has a monthly demo, and the whole company has a biweekly all-hands.
We also fund team-of-four lunches and small in-person meetups for project work. The signal-to-noise on real face time is high; we lean on it deliberately.
